Purpose of the tool
checkb.tech is a verification support tool. It is designed to assist internal verifiers in identifying potential criteria gaps in BTEC student assignments.
checkb.tech is not a grading system. It does not make grading decisions, and its output does not constitute an official assessment. All grade decisions remain the sole responsibility of the qualified assessor and internal verifier using the platform.
Acceptable use
By using checkb.tech, you agree to:
• Use the platform only in connection with legitimate BTEC internal verification activity
• Upload only student work that you are authorised to process as part of your professional role
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the platform
• Not use the platform to generate assessment decisions without human review
You may not use checkb.tech in any manner that violates UK data protection law, Pearson's assessment regulations, or your centre's data handling policies.
Limitation of liability
checkb.tech is provided as-is. We make no guarantee that:
• Every criteria gap will be identified
• Flags raised will be complete, accurate, or free from error
• The platform will be available without interruption
We accept no liability for grade decisions made on the basis of checkb.tech output, moderation outcomes, or any loss arising from reliance on the platform's analysis.
Internal verifiers remain professionally and institutionally responsible for the verification decisions they record and submit.
