GLH means guided learning hours. In Pearson’s International Level 3 Business specification, a unit’s GLH indicates expected hours of teaching, directed activity and assessment. The total helps compare qualification sizes and plan delivery; it is not a guaranteed timetable for each learner.

Unit values are 60, 90 or 120 GLH. A larger unit also has greater weighting in the qualification grade. GLH does not include every hour a learner may spend studying independently; plan additional practice and preparation where needed.

For unit-count rules, see the unit-count guide. Read the qualification overview and Pearson’s Issue 4 specification. These figures are specific to Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Business.

Check the criteria before the IV does.

checkb.tech reads learner evidence against the official Pearson criteria and reports every criterion as met, partly met or not met — with the evidence cited. It never awards a grade; the teacher stays the assessor.
