Pearson BTEC International Level 2 Travel and Tourism is designed for learners interested in the travel and tourism sector. Pearson describes unit options in customer service, travel planning, working as a tour guide and hospitality within the industry. It also aims to build transferable skills for further education or employment.

Course planning

Start with the specification for the chosen size and use its permitted combinations to map units across the programme. Check the assessment type for each unit, assignment conditions and evidence requirements before planning case studies, visits or simulated workplace tasks. Industry examples can make learning concrete, but they do not replace the exact unit criteria.

Keep the qualification current

Pearson lists the course as International-only and first taught in September 2022. Its Travel and Tourism page links to the specification and current materials. Compare it with Hospitality or review all choices in the Level 2 subject guide.

Check the criteria before the IV does.

checkb.tech reads learner evidence against the official Pearson criteria and reports every criterion as met, partly met or not met — with the evidence cited. It never awards a grade; the teacher stays the assessor.
