The Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media is a 720 guided learning hour (GLH) qualification. Pearson describes it as equivalent in size to two International A Levels. Its purpose is to provides Creative Media as a main subject alongside another area of study in a two-year programme.

Mandatory assessment units

Learners complete A1: Skills Development, A2: Responding to a Brief, B1: Personal Progression and B3: Creative Industry Response. Pearson’s Issue 5 specification sets the unit order, GLH and assessment conditions. Learners must meet the requirements for the mandatory assessment units to achieve the qualification.

The A2: Responding to a Brief unit is a Pearson Set Assignment (PSA): Pearson sets the task and the centre assesses the work. Other units use internally set assessments. Follow the unit’s own instructions when planning the teaching and assessment sequence.

Check the criteria before the IV does.

checkb.tech reads learner evidence against the official Pearson criteria and reports every criterion as met, partly met or not met — with the evidence cited. It never awards a grade; the teacher stays the assessor.
