Assessment criteria

Reproduced verbatim from the Pearson specification — the same grid the assignment brief carries. A unit grade is the highest band where all criteria in that band (and every band below it) are met.

Pass

8 criteria
A.P1- You have successfully solved given routine problems using algebraic methods.
A.P2- You have successfully solved given routine problems using trigonometric methods.
A.P3- You have successfully interpreted and presented statistical information related to engineering problems.
B.P4- You have successfully solved routine problems that involve direct currents.
B.P5- You have successfully solved routine problems that involve direct current networks.
C.P6- You have successfully solved routine problems that involve magnetism.
C.P7- You have successfully solved routine problems that involve electromagnetism.
D.P8- You have successfully solved routine problems that involve alternating currents.

Merit

4 criteria
A.M1- You have successfully solved routine problems accurately and non-routine problems using both algebraic and trigonometric methods.
B.M2- You have successfully solved routine problems accurately and non-routine problems that involve direct current networks.
C.M3- You have successfully solved routine problems accurately and non-routine problems that involve magnetism and electromagnetism.
D.M4- You have successfully solved routine problems accurately and non-routine problems that involve alternating currents. Comments note by the Assessor: Well, done, Kevin, you have shown the stages of your calculations and have added some notes to explain what you are doing. The work is well presented and clear. Try to keep this up and use similar formats when you complete calculations in other units. Learner declaration I certify that the work submitted for this assignment is my own. I have clearly referenced any sources used in the work. I understand that false declaration is a form of malpractice. Learner signature: Kevin Yanny Date: 0 5 - 0 7 - 2 0 2 5

How checkb.tech checks this unit

Upload a learner's submission and checkb.tech reads it against exactly these criteria, reporting each one as met, partly met, or not met — with the evidence that informed the verdict cited, so every call is auditable.

The check runs against the official Pearson documents for this unit, and identical evidence always produces an identical result — the same script gets the same verdict every time.

It never awards a grade. You stay the assessor: confirm, dismiss, or act on every criterion before your assessment decision is final.
