Pass

6 criteria

A.P1Explain the distribution of ecosystems.

A.P2Explain different relationships within ecosystems.

B.P3Perform wildlife habitat surveys and monitor wildlife populations.

B.P4Prepare a clear located habitat management or rehabilitation plan for a named animal, using the findings of habitat and animal population surveys.

C.P5Demonstrate the proficient completion of habitat management tasks in accordance with an agreed plan.

C.P6Demonstrate, under supervision, wildlife rehabilitation in accordance with an agreed plan.

Merit

3 criteria

A.M1Analyse the relationships between named animal species and their interactions with their habitats.

B.M2Analyse survey and monitoring data to produce, for a named animal species, a located habitat management or rehabilitation plan.

C.M3Demonstrate appropriate techniques for habitat management and wildlife rehabilitation, adapting techniques for changing circumstances.

Distinction

3 criteria

A.D1Evaluate human impacts on wildlife ecosystems and the range of responses to mitigate or enhance those impacts.

BC.D2Justify a specific habitat or rehabilitation plan using survey and monitoring data.

BC.D3Evaluate the impact of the rehabilitation plan and tasks carried out on biodiversity and the wildlife habitat.
