What is internal verification in BTEC International Level 2 Creative Media?

Internal verification (IV) is the centre's quality check on assignment briefs and assessment decisions. In Pearson BTEC International Level 2 Creative Media, IVs check that centre-set assignments follow Pearson's requirements and that assessors apply the unit criteria validly and consistently.

IVs work with the Lead IV and assessment team. They do not verify their own assessment decisions. The centre plans its checks, records the samples reviewed and addresses any issues before results are finalised. Pearson also carries out external standards verification for these internally assessed units.

Use the procedures in Pearson's Creative Media specification and your centre's current quality assurance guidance. For related steps, read about teacher-set assignments and assessment decisions.

Check the criteria before the IV does.

checkb.tech reads learner evidence against the official Pearson criteria and reports every criterion as met, partly met or not met — with the evidence cited. It never awards a grade; the teacher stays the assessor.
