How do teachers set assignments for BTEC International Level 2 Creative Media?

For Creative Media units without a Pearson Set Assignment, the teacher or centre sets the assignment. These are usually optional units. The brief must let learners show the full range of relevant unit criteria and follow the assignment structure and assessment guidance in Pearson's specification.

Start with the unit's Essential information for assignments section. Check its learning aims, criteria, recommended assignment structure and required evidence before issuing a brief. Pearson also provides sample authorised assignment briefs and guidance for centres.

Teacher-set does not mean criteria can be changed or left out. The work is still internally assessed against Pearson's unit requirements and subject to the centre's quality assurance. Consult the Pearson specification. For the difference between assignment types, see the assessment overview, the PSA guide and internal assessment.

Check the criteria before the IV does.

checkb.tech reads learner evidence against the official Pearson criteria and reports every criterion as met, partly met or not met — with the evidence cited. It never awards a grade; the teacher stays the assessor.
