What is internal assessment in BTEC International Level 2 Creative Media?

Internal assessment means the centre assesses the learner's work. In Pearson BTEC International Level 2 Creative Media, all units are internally assessed and teachers make assessment decisions using the criteria in the unit.

Some units still use a Pearson Set Assignment: Pearson sets the task, while the teacher assesses the submitted work. Other units use centre-set assignments that follow Pearson's requirements. Internal verifiers check assignment briefs and assessment decisions as part of the centre's quality assurance.

See Pearson's Creative Media specification for the rules. Continue to the guide on assessment types, Pearson Set Assignments or teacher-set assignments.

Check the criteria before the IV does.

checkb.tech reads learner evidence against the official Pearson criteria and reports every criterion as met, partly met or not met — with the evidence cited. It never awards a grade; the teacher stays the assessor.
