A.P1Describe the purpose and stages of an energy audit.

A.P2Examine the use of methods and tools to audit energy and emissions.

B.P3Collect and organise energy data from provided or simulated sources.

B.P4Analyse energy data to identify patterns, inefficiencies, emissions and areas of high energy use.

C.P5Report energy audit findings clearly.

C.P6Recommend appropriate and prioritised energy efficiency measures based on audit findings, including consideration of energy savings, carbon reduction potential and suitability for low‑carbon energy systems.

Merit

A.M1Explain how different auditing methods and tools are selected for different sites or clients.

B.M2Explain how data analysis supports decision making in energy auditing.

C.M3Explain how recommendations are prioritised based on energy savings, cost and practicality.

Distinction

AB.D1Analyse how the choice of auditing methods and data analysis techniques affects the accuracy and usefulness of an energy audit.

C.D2Evaluate the effectiveness of energy audit recommendations in meeting client needs, considering technical, economic and behavioural factors.
