The Pearson BTEC International Level 2 Award in Creative Media is the shortest of the three Creative Media options. Pearson specifies 120 guided learning hours (GLH) and two 60 GLH units. It is designed as an introduction that can sit alongside other vocational or academic study.

One unit is mandatory: Unit 1, Research, Develop and Propose Ideas for a Digital Media Product. It is assessed by a Pearson Set Assignment. The second unit is selected from the optional units allowed by the specification, giving learners a chance to explore a specialism such as video, photography, web or animation.

All assessment is internal: teachers mark the learner's work. For the exact unit choices and rules, use Pearson's Issue 1 specification. See the Creative Media overview, the GLH guide, the unit guide or the assessment guide. Also compare the Certificate and Extended Certificate.

Check the criteria before the IV does.

checkb.tech reads learner evidence against the official Pearson criteria and reports every criterion as met, partly met or not met — with the evidence cited. It never awards a grade; the teacher stays the assessor.
